Јелеосвећење је Света тајна освећења уља (јелеја) која се састоји из више молитава свештеника и помазивања болесника освећеним уљем, кроз које делује Божија благодат за исцељење ДУШЕ и ТЕЛА. Верницима помаже и код душевних и код телесних проблема. Овом Светом тајном лечи се тело од његове немоћи и чисти душа од њених грехова.

И мазаху уљем многе болеснике, и исцељиваху (Мк. 6, 13)

Освећење домова

  

Драги људи,

напомињемно вас да је ово период када вршимо благосиљање домова.

Традиција је у нашој Српској Православној Цркви, као и код других Православних народа, да свештеник макар једанпут у току године посети домове верника ради свећења водице тј. благосиљања домова.

Свештеник долази или пред славу или у периоду од Богојављења до Васкрса, а неретко у оба случаја.

Доласком свештеника и освећењем водице призива се благослов Божији у наше домове. То није само пуки обичај, него потреба самих верних, који осећају потребу да повремено буду освећени и очишћени кропљењем свете водице.

Поред наведеног, долазак свештеника је одлична прилика да се укућани окупе и боље упознају са свештеником, те да поразговарају о разним темама и недоумицама.

 

За благослов и освештање вашег дома и водице позовите свога свештеника.

Blessing of Homes

 

Dear parishioners,

We would like to remind you that it is the time for the blessing of homes.

This tradition is upheld in our Serbian Orthodox Church, as well as in other Orthodox communities. It involves the priest visiting the homes of believers at least once a year to consecrate water and bless the homes.

The priest may come before Slava or during the period between Epiphany and Easter, and often during both times.

The arrival of the priest and the consecration of water invoke God's blessing upon our homes. This practice is not merely a custom but a necessity for the faithful, who seek occasional sanctification and cleansing through the sprinkling of holy water.

Furthermore, the visit of the priest provides an excellent opportunity for households to gather, become better acquainted with the priest, and engage in discussions on various topics and concerns.

 

In order to have your homes blessed and water consecrated please reach out to your priests.

Годишња Скупштина ЦШО Светог Саве | Annual Meeting of St. Sava Church-School Congregation

Драга Браћо и Сестре,

Управни Одбор Црквеношколске Општине Светога Саве заказао је Годишњу Скупштину за недељу, 4. фебруара, 2024. године са почетком у 13 часова.

Позивају се сви чланови ЦШО да измире своје чланарине пре одржавања Скупштине и да дођу и учествују у раду Скупштине. ANNUAL MEETING OF ST. SAVA CHURCH-SCHOOL CONGREGATION

 

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

The Executive Board of Church-School Congregation Saint Sava has scheduled its Annual Assembly for Sunday, February 4th, 2024. The meeting will take place at the Church Hall at 1pm.

We invite all members of our Church-School Congregation to attend and contribute to the work of the Assembly and to pay dues before Assembly. You can pay the membership fees via e-transfer to the e-mail (info@svetisava.net) or send a check to (St. Sava Church 505 East 63rd Ave. Vancouver, BC V5X 2K3) with a remittance - for the membership fee. (Annual membership fee is - individual $50, retired individual $25, married couple $75, retired married couple $50).

 

The following agenda has been suggested:

1.     Opening of the assembly with the prayer by parish priests

2.     Election of а president, vice-president, secretary and two members for verification Committee.

3.     Determination of Quorum present
